Job description <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\nReporting to the President and CEO, the head of Philanthropic Development and Partnerships is responsible for philanthropic development (recruitment, reactivation, renewal and retention) and partnerships in Quebec, through campaigns, philanthropic activities and corporate presentations.<\/p>\n
In collaboration with the President and CEO, the Head of Philanthropic Development establishes annual priorities to optimize the organization’s revenue growth and plays an active role in achieving financial objectives.<\/p>\n
The person responsible for philanthropic development and partnerships ensures the development and growth of fundraising activities, major and planned gifts, fundraising events, as well as the development and implementation of philanthropic circle development strategies.<\/p>\n
Main responsibilities at provincial level<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n- Prepare solicitation files for financial partners, follow up on expected donations and sponsorships, and ensure their <\/span>renewal;<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Ensure that the elements of the recognition plan are implemented for each <\/span>partner;<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Maintain privileged and strategic communications with major donors <\/span>to<\/span> build <\/span>loyalty;<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Ensure financial <\/span>objectives<\/span> are met by proposing fund-raising strategies, according to target <\/span>groups;<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- In collaboration with the President and CEO, <\/span>identify<\/span> and recruit sponsors and donors to ensure the success of <\/span>events;<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Research profiles and donation histories of targeted potential donors to prepare solicitation <\/span>packages;<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Participate in presentations of the organization to potential <\/span>donors;<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Conduct canvassing at targeted business events to promote the organization and <\/span>identify<\/span> potential <\/span>supporters;<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Collaboration with JA Canada on <\/span>partnerships;<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Managing strategic <\/span>allies;<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Monitor the business community to <\/span>identify<\/span> decision-makers and companies that could become partners of our <\/span>organization;<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
- Keep abreast of trends and best practices in <\/span>philanthropy;<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Carry out any other related tasks requested by general management.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Skills<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n- Undergraduate or graduate university degree in a discipline relevant to the position, or equivalent experience<\/span>;<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience, including 5 years in a position related to the development of business partnerships within an NPO<\/span>;<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Ability to develop innovative and winning <\/span>strategies;<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Excellent presentation skills to the business community<\/span>;<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Demonstrated solicitation and negotiation skills<\/span>;\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Demonstrated ability in partner\/client relations<\/span>;<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Action and results-oriented<\/span>;<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
