CFA Montreal fundraiser for JA Quebec

CFA Montreal supports JA Quebec’s mission and invites you to contribute to the fundraising efforts.

By leveraging its network and expertise to work, CFA Montréal promotes concrete actions carried out through JA Quebec, focusing on common interests and values: future generations, diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), and financial education.

Since 1962, the non-profit organization Les programmes éducatifs JA Québec (or JA Québec), has been inspiring and educating youth aged 10 to 18, as well as young adults, about financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and preparing for the job market, through its training programs delivered free of charge in schools by volunteer business advisors. It bridges the gap between education and the business world to encourage student retention and success, give young people the tools they need to make sound financial decisions, and ensure the next generation of professionals and entrepreneurs.

Programs are offered in the form of half-day fun workshops (school programs) and hands-on business creation and management experience over several weeks (Student Enterprise program), enabling young people to develop leadership and collaboration skills.

JA Québec is part of the JA (Junior Achievement) family, which is present in 116 countries worldwide and celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2019.

This donation will significantly help us in our mission. It will enable us to:

  1. – Training young people in financial literacy: Your donation enables JA Québec to offer financial literacy training programs in Quebec schools, helping young people acquire the essential skills to manage their money responsibly.
  2. – Expanding our impact: Thanks to your generosity, we’re able to extend our reach to more young people across Quebec, bringing our programs to more schools and communities.
  3. – Enriching our financial literacy programs: We can enrich our existing programs by inviting experts in the financial field to share their knowledge and experience with young participants, offering a practical and up-to-date perspective on financial concepts.
  4. – Developing new teaching tools: Your support also enables us to develop innovative new teaching tools, adapted to the needs and realities of today’s young people, to make learning financial literacy even more engaging and effective.
  5. – Preparing young people for a better professional future: In addition to financial literacy, your donation supports our programs to prepare young people for the job market and entrepreneurship, giving them the skills and confidence to succeed in tomorrow’s professional world.
